Spellcaster

A spellcaster, or caster, is a term generally used to describe a career which relies primarily on magic spells rather than weapons, although it can be used to refer to any character capable of using magic. Unarguably, the Runepriest, Bright Wizard, Archmage, Shaman, Magus, Zealot and Sorceress would be considered pure spellcasters. Careers such as the Warrior Priest and Disciple of Khaine are considered hybrid casters because they use physical melee attacks to augment their magical abilities. It is worth noting that both the Chosen and Swordmaster have an entire Mastery path devoted to the use of magic, but they would still most likely not be considered casters since most of their abilities are physical.
